We went to ski there in 2006 with Uncle Jim and his family plus few friends. The drive from Seattle wasn’t bad. We had lunch at http://www.ireneeng.com/?tag=alaska in Richmond, not the old Chinatown. I guess this little detail escaped me because when we stayed Vancouver prior to our Alaska trip in 2008, one night we decided to have Chinese. We went to the old Chinatown, which was a ghost town. sigh. Oh well .. my mind is going, fast.
Ok, the Chinese dinner went badly in Vancouver but we found a neat night life on Granville Street, right out side of our hotel. You got to check it out
my little baby falling down .. Feb 25, 2006It turned out, Whistler was the last ski trip for them – since then they have gave up ski. Guess the mountains are too small in the east and too icy. King would consider it, but when he heard Pumpkin’s reply which’s usually a firm NO, he begged off too.

I’m a green trailer, don’t want to work too hard. It makes sense especially in the northeast when the lines up the little mountain are long. I figured taking the green trail coming down would give me more time to ski than the black diamond trail that zip down in a second.
My little baby falling down .. so cute and adorable.

The ski condition was really ideal: huge mountains, thick snow and wide open trails. When we got to the top, it really felt like on top of the world, pristine and alone.

They liked the sport, once ..

The little down town was neat and nice. We had lunch in town on the day the winter Olympic at Turin was ending. With the closing ceremony on the wide screens, the promoters for the 2010 were at work – it will be held right there.
