We lingered in the store and then headed to the pool at 6:30, after everyone has his gears picked.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I got there at 4pm, as the coach asked, to select my gears from the package.<\/p>\n<p>The choices are hard to make: so many colors and styles &#8230; grey) &#8211; primary breathing apparatus<\/li>\n<li>test octo (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sherwoodscuba.com\/products\/product?productId=26\">Sherwood<\/a>, yellow) &#8211; secondary\/backup breathing line<\/li>\n<li>hook up the LPI (low pressure inflator) hose to inflate the bcd, and secure it into the hock on the left chest<\/li>\n<li>secure duel gauge (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.genesisscuba.com\/product-catalog?productId=142\">Genesis<\/a>: tank pressure\/depth), left side; test the gas pressure (should be 3k psi) \u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>lay the tank down, to prevent from falling\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>add weights if needed<\/li>\n<li>put on wetsuit<\/li>\n<li>put on booties<\/li>\n<li>attach snorkel to the mask, put in on your head or wear it\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>put on the bc with the cylinder\n<ol>\n<li>close waist velcro<\/li>\n<li>buckle waist<\/li>\n<li>pull down the two shoulder straps\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>buckle the chest \u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>get into the water<\/li>\n<li>(it&#8217;s a good habit to test 4 lines again)<\/li>\n<li>put on the fins &#8230;<\/li>\n<li>if dive off the boat, put on the fins first, then into the unknown<\/li>\n<li>have fun<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The watch is huge and weighty. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis.ireneeng.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/IMG_4902.jpg\">I also purchased<\/a> the goggle\/mask strap, upgraded the snorkel, etc.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis.ireneeng.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/IMG_4876-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-45672 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tennis.ireneeng.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/IMG_4876-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>There are many other items that we should buy: knife, flash light, weight.<\/p>\n<p>The pool is at his father&#8217;s house where Ed grew up. It&#8217;s a mile from the store. We practiced a few basics in the pool.
