Swimming pool @  Renaissance Riverside

The last swim of the SE Asia tripRenaissance Riverside.

… looking out to the Ba Son Bridge; the pool at the night, and Melinh Point Tower, Hilton hotel Saigon that just opened in March, and Vietcom Bank.

The roof top pool at Renaissance Riverside in Saigon is decent in size. I get to swim laps there daily, always by myself.

more pix here.

The last swim was followed by the Last Supper and a night cap … then I retired the green bathing suit.

… and a long one

Swimming at Como, Bangkok

Look what I found on the bookstand

COMO Metropolitan hotel in Bangkok has a nice pool, with a decent size. One end is nahm. The slim male staff, all dressed in white, gives off colonial feel.

After laps, I often work on my laptop.

There is a bookshelf by the entrance and surprisingly, I found Xi Jinping: The Goverance of China.

Pool @ Classico Kameo

Classico KameoAyutthaya

I went to swim before dinner.

The pool and the gym are pretty good. Water is on the cold side – love it. Only the Americans heat their outdoor pools!

Swim @ River Kwai Resotel

River Kwai Resotel in Thailand has two pools and many spots for yoga. The free shaped greenish pool by the restaurant is good lounging and a regtangle blue at the back of the resort is large enough to do laps.

Swim @ Bangkok

The swimming pool at Century Park hotel is decent. I get to swim there daily. The water is probably around 70s, which is my preference, very refreshing.

The shower door

3-5 (resumed the set at 3-4), 5-1, 4-1 (time runs out …)

Another messed up day – I went to the wrong location, again. The threesome (Bruce, Al and Greg) found another player, who is graciously bowed out when I arrived. Thanks Bob.
I promptly went to work, and heard the score wrong – thought we were up. Oh well.

While I was in the shower at clubhouse, a Chinese put her stuff on the locked door. It’s so o-d-d.

A good match, a good swim

A pretty competitive match with two Gregs and Jim: 4-5, 5-2, 5-4. GJ lost all three sets.

I started the day in the dark, and served first in all 3 sets.

The first set, GJ and I lost first 6 points, won the 7th and lost the 8th. There went 0-2. GJ held his serve but we lost the 4th game. It was a pretty good come back.

This month, I swam 26,560 yards / 15.09 miles in 660 minutes, which equals to 43’73” per mile. … with two hurricanes in between: Helene and Milton.

Swim & tube @ Kelly Park

400 E Kelly Park Rd,
Apopka, FL 32712

I get to swim at another springs!

This swimming area is at Rock Springs state park, (visit Florida) which is very close to Wekiwa. Because of current, many people and families come here to tube. Water is shallow and refreshing.

A water snake swam by me.

There is an outdoor shower with weak water, but it’s good enough for a quick rinse off.

Swim at Wekiwa Springs State Park

1800 Wekiwa Cir
Apopka, FL 32712

… more pix Yelp and Google Maps.

Couldn’t have been any better than this!!! Clear springs at 72° temp year around – it’s heaven on earth. School of tiny fish is seen. Two park rangers walking by, I asked them about the distance to the bridge.
“Ehhh I don’t know. It’s not job requirement,” he joked. “Will add this one then,” he said.
