New York Open

Monday. Cloudy. Grey. Empty. Relaxing.
Not a bad experience except the terrible line calls. For qualifying matches, there’s no challenge – no recourse. vid 1, vid 2 & v3. Hope in the near future NYO will attract better players.

  • One player is named Tennys. No kidding.
  • One looks like a con man – don’t  you think his outfit is stale?
  • One player looks like a pirate. … All in good humor.

Putin has an umbrella

10 years ago Putin gave an interview – he was chosen as Man of the Year – around the time he got naked on a horse (while Bush was in a fighter pilot suit…) and Mr. Putin said … the West thinks he just got off a tree with dirty in his hair … seriously I think he is and does even today -:)

This is out of boundary

Equinox closes at 2pm yesterday and today. The parking lot is pretty full in the early afternoon. As I was taking shower, a cleaning woman came in, staring at me. I was stunned. I said excuse me … She made no move. “Get out.” I shouted. She left then came back twice!!!!!! When I came out of the shower she followed me with hateful stares. I felt violated, insulted, intimidate and humiliated. I went to the front desk, one of the staff went to talk to her. She made no apology instead of saying I said fxxx her.

Over the years all the cleaning crew is nice and show us great courtesy. At least I return with consideration and courtesy. This woman is something else.

What  a way to start Christmas … well, the silver lining …

Life is short, live it hard

WSJ reports the former Sara Lee CEO Brenda Barnes Dies at 63.

In 2010, Ms. Barnes had a stroke while working out at a gym near her home in suburban Chicago and resigned as CEO of the company when it became clear she faced a long recovery. She was able to regain much of her mobility but didn’t return to work. The balance is thin and varies from person to person: how much and often do you exercise. My take is, do as you desire. If you enjoy doing it, then by all mean, do it.

Ops, she did it again

The same woman opened my shower door again at Equinox. I’ve been hanging a towel or cloth on the door since it’s happened the first time. Today I’ve a black legging and the gym is empty.
