We spent the Columbus weekend in the North Folk. The water is cold but doable, with plenty sunshine. Unfortunately boys went to golf and hadn’t returned, no one could go out with me on a kayak. I’d swim across, it’s only 2 miles. The water is clear, high tide in the afternoon. One of my friends commented that my skin was pink, from the cold water, -:)

No troubled water
At Columbus Circle
Our club’s pool was leaking, it has been under going repair multiple times recently. This last time, they closed it for over two weeks. We can go to other club during the stressful time.
This one is at the basement. Feeling a bit jammed, understandable, its in the city. They have a life guard at the pool. A little over the board?
A double V Day
It’s been snowing a lot lately, and the snow on the ground has been staying put. However, today, Valentine’s Day and 元宵节, weather turned nice, well over 40 degrees that I enjoyed reading with a cup of latte out door. So so nice!
The water temperature at pool at the club is wonderful too – 76 degrees (24) – being fixed for leak. Guess it’s a fresh water and they won’t keep it this low, unfortunately. (Update: the pool was closed. The following date, 2/15, the temperature rose to 82 and is open.)

In the East River in New York City. This floating Olympus-size swimming pool is still in the funding stage, and hope to open in 2016
The pool
The club closed the pool for a few days in December. The empty one was on Dec 26 and the filled one was on Dec 31.
