Once more, the linesman or woman called foot-fault on Serena Willians’ first match point. My thinking goes, gosh, the tennis world out to have a machine to double check on these calls since, till now, it’s the lines person’s call. And the unlucky receiver was Serena, again.
Serena went on to have four more watchpoints but failed to convert. My little thinking is, she injured her foot/ankle a little, so doesn’t want play Osaka knowing she won’t be in her best shape. My 2⊄ is she chose to let Karolína Plíšková to win – a player I really like: quiet and pretty.
